About the owner

Michael Kenneway is the owner and operator of Kenneway Lawn Co., a locally owned and operated grounds maintenance business proudly serving Surf City and the surrounding Topsail Island area. A lifelong local, Michael has a deep appreciation for the coastal environment and the outdoor lifestyle that defines the community.

Michael earned the rank of Eagle Scout at a young age, where he developed a strong foundation in responsibility, leadership, and service; values that continue to shape how he approaches his work today. He takes pride in dependable service, attention to detail, and doing the job right, treating every property with the same care he would his own.

Michael’s connection to Surf City runs generations deep. His grandmother, Nelva Albury, served on the Surf City Town Council for nearly 20 years and played a meaningful role in guiding and caring for the town as it grew. Her dedication to the community continues to inspire Michael’s commitment to helping keep Surf City clean, well-maintained, and something residents can be proud of.

When he’s not in the field, Michael enjoys spending time outdoors camping, being on the boat, and embracing the coastal lifestyle that makes Surf City feel like home.
